I have dug myself a deep hole of excuses and I am ready to claw my way out of it!
This is my pattern and this may or may not be similar to yours. January 1 hits and I am balls to the wall with fitness and nutrition. I know I know I own a fitness company blah blah blah but this is real, no bullshit how my yearly journey starts! EHH I get bored with nutrition so I fall off the wagon and when I say fall off I mean I fall from like a 20 story building FLAT on to my face, no safety net, no harness just splat right on my face. I have my OH SHIT moment…..the pool opens in 4 months, time to button down the hatch again and get to work. This time around I succeed, I am ready for the pool to open, body, mind and spirit! Memorial Day weekend (the weekend the pools here in Denver open) comes along and I decide “what the hell”, the pools are open, I put in the work and hard work also, so I will BINGE this weekend. I will eat what I want, when I want and consume A LOT of beer. Thus falling off the above mentioned WAGON once again, flat on my nicely toned ass that I busted for 4+ months to get in the “best shape of my life” just to throw it all away the WEEKEND the pool opens! WTF????

August 21, 2018 Review by Tricia Barre in the Park was started by Megan Campbell in 2012 as pop-up barre in Stapleton. It was a community class for friends because at the time, there wasn’t much barre in Stapleton available. Megan’s pop-up barre classes were an instant hit. Soon Barre in the Park grew to become the first barre studio in Stapleton. Megan recently changed the name to Barre Central because classes are no longer in the park. All classes are now in her attached car garage, which has been transformed into a barre studio! The barre classes, instructors and community are undoubtedly top notch. Above all, the founder, Megan Campbell, is a fierce and a powerful force for empowering women and moms. I’m obsessed with Megan, her story, and, how Barre Central Denver got started. Barre in a garage is not what you’d expect from a barre studio in Stapleton. I love how Barre Central breaks the mold!
Barre in the park is changing its name......
Barre in the Park started in July 2015 because I was looking for something different, something “extra” when it came to Barre and the workouts I was getting at some of the local gyms in my neighborhood. I had been taking barre for 2 years by then, including my entire second pregnancy and was approached about getting certified as an instructor. At the time, I was struggling with what “I wanted to be when I grew up” and was a working mom with two children, so I figured this could be a great idea but I was scared as HELL of failing. |
